Dear Family,

Another Sunday is here and we are going to be teaching the young women a lesson on HONESTY.  There were some wonderful stories we will be using by Sister Dibb, Elder Gay and President Monson.
           There was a father who was going to steal some corn from his neighbor.  He decided to take his son with him as a watchman.  The father climbed over the fence with his sack.  He looked right and left to see that know one was around.  His son called out to him.......Father you forgot to look up!    GREAT STORY.    A wonderful story for all the kids to hear.

We had cottage meeting last night, up in the mountains, on a very small winding road. (All roads are half the size of US ) You have to be very very careful.  We decided to go up yesterday morning for a trail run.  We found a better less winding road to go back home.  When we went last night it was dark, couldn't find the house and decided that we will do the cottage meetings that are in town and closer.  It was not fun.  But we did learn a lot and had an investigator that was very interested and commented often.  We watched several mormon messages which are always good.  They make great FAMILY HOME EVENINGS.

On a trial run we went to a little town, that we love, called Sassafras.  We ate brunch at Miss Marple's Tea Room (named after the PBS show still on PBS).  It was a real honest to goodness English tea room and the food was marvelous.  For dessert we got a toffee sticky pudding with heavy cream that was fabulous.  If anyone decides to visit one stop will be the Tea Room.

Wednesday we had 3 new missionaries arrive from Tonga.  They were all like deer in headlights.  The one elder has come without anything but an uncle that lives here called to find out what he needs.  He is not the first to come with nothing and we somehow get everything they need.  One was a darling, quiet young Tongan girl.  They have great trainers to teach them.  We were able to take the two sisters and the new missionary to their flat, one and a half hours away.  Now fitting two very large Samoans and one average Tongan in the back seat of our Toyota Carolla was difficult to say the least.  They were all very good about it but very uncomfortable.  We have to sit together to navigate where we are going because the driving is difficult where ever we go.  We drove thru a very scary part of downtown Melbourne, had to get on and off the toll roads, all in all not our favorite thing to do.  Now it won't be so difficult the next time.  We did take them to a nice dinner and our new "golden" (no more called greenies) ate with her fingers.  She realized we were using forks and knives and tried to do it.  What a life changing experience for so many missionaries.

Sister Tui (to e) is leaving in two weeks.  What a powerful kind wonderful missionary she has been.  She comes from a village in Tonga  where there are four wards in her village of 500 people.  80 to 90 % of Tonga is LDS.  From what we see and hear it is a very poor country.  The missionaries are all great, kind people.

Had to cancel a day of work and the temple sessions because the electricity went out.  One of the sessions was in progress.  Adrienne had a great day shopping.

The ward is having a pot luck today at 5:00 pm with a quick 15 minute missionary moment.  We took a nice big salad to the last one and no one touched it.  So this time we are taking chips and salsa.  (Adrienne is still waiting for the salsa recipe)  They basically only eat finger food and every child puts their fingers in it.  It is referred to as, "bring a plate or bring a slice."  Of course, last week we had to ask what it meant.

In closing we are including three thought;
       GREAT FAITH HAS A SHORT SHELF LIFE                PRESIDENT EYRING
       NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE BLESSINGS OF THE SPIRIT            ELDER BEDNAR
       WE ARE THE HOUSE AND THE LORD IS THE RENOVATOR, KNOCKING DOWN WALLS AND DOORS TO HELP US

Love to all of you,

Adrienne, Dee Dee, mom, mother, grandma
